Last week, I introduced you all to the Scripture Memory system we’re starting to use. It’s an easy way to get started with scripture memory. Come on, Catholics, we can do this!!! 😉
At first, I thought we were basically starting from scratch. Then I realized that us Catholics know a lot more scripture than we realize we do! So I put together some printable Scripture Memory Cards for Catholics of Bible verses that Catholics already know! 🙂
I thought if we started by learning the citations for some Bible verses we already know, we could build some confidence, and move some things along in our Scripture box to the “review” section quickly.
For starters, I made 2 sets of printable Catholic scripture cards- one with scripture from our prayers, and 1 with scripture from the Mass. These first 2 sets are available in the same download.
They print 4 to a page, and there are 24 cards total in the Prayer and Mass Scripture pack.
I did not draw the illustrations on these cards- they are by Bernadette Dubois, a very talented Catholic artist. It’s because your support of this site that I can put the necessary time and money into these resources for Catholics everywhere, (including my kids) so thank you! 🙂
My kids were actually excited to see that some of our prayers come straight from scripture. I’m excited to learn the references to these!
I printed our set onto card stock, then laminated them. I have to tell you- laminaters rock and laminating stuff is addictive!
I cut them out, punched holes, and put them on a ring. You can get these ring things in the office aisle at Wal-Mart. I left enough room in the top corner of each card for punching holes if desired.

In most cases, the Scripture is worded a little differently than it is in our prayers or the Mass. I don’t think I’m going to personally focus on learning the scripture version word for word, rather, I want my kids and I to learn the scripture references and boost our scripture confidence. So as long as they can say it the way it’s said in Mass and quote the reference, that’s what I’m looking for in these.
We have one set on a ring, and one set that I printed on card stock (without laminating it) that is going into our scripture box.

Hi Lacy, can you tell me….is that a Scotch Thermal Laminator? Is it hot, or two temps? Does it use pouch type laminator sheets….is it ever difficult to use? I think I need to order one from the US….and would appreciate any advice in brands to help me choose the right one. Thanks Lacy.
(If you have an affiliate link for a laminator, I’d be happy to try and use it.)
Hi, I am from Poland and I want to teach my children Polish version of Scripture. I understand that your cards are in pdf format, and if so, I would like to know if it’s possible to get them in any editable version, so I can replace English by Polish? Or maybe it’s possible to be done with pdf format too?
Hmmm… I don’t know how this would be possible. I don’t offer my downloads in editable formats. I think there are programs you can get to edit pdf’s but I’ve never done it.
Thanks so much. These are great!
Any chance these come in black and grey also for us non-color printers?
These are fantastic!
This is the only format I have them in, but your black and white printer can still print them in grayscale.
These scripture cards are exactly what I have been looking for for my 2nd grade daughter. However, I do not see the link to access the printable. I am/have been a subscriber. Any idea what I might be missing to access the link to print? Thanks so much!
Yay! Yeah, so just go to the bottom of your last email that you got from me and there will be a big button at the bottom to the subscriber bonus page. Here’s the link that explains with more detail how to access it.

Thank you, Lacy! I was making it harder than it needed to be! 😉 I’m printing them out now! Have a nice week!
No problem! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for being a subscriber!!!
Hi Lacy, what translation are the scripture cards made with?
