This week for my Catholic how to draw video, I shared how to draw an Advent wreath! I am really excited about this one, as I think kids will really enjoy learning how to draw an Advent wreath step by step. Also, when kids draw things themselves, it helps them remember. So after they draw this, they may remember how many candles an Advent wreath has, what color they are, etc. I planned it out to make this easy to draw for kids, so hopefully they follow along without any trouble!
You can find all of my Catholic how-to-draws here, and be sure to check back because there is a new one each Friday! I am super excited about this new resource for Catholic kids. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep going, but they seem to be gaining popularity so for now I am going to keep on and see where this goes.
This is a great activity for Catholic kids when learning about Advent, and for religious education classes. This would also be a great thing to draw for bulletin boards in Catholic schools! During the video, I explain a lot of symbolism of the wreath and about the season of Advent. So they should learn a little somethin’ while they draw. 😉 Go ahead and draw yours now.
I am also including this as a free printable coloring page of the advent wreath. This is for anyone who just wants to color or for little siblings that aren’t quite ready for the drawing part yet. So if anyone was looking for a advent wreath coloring page, wish granted! And it’s free!
