St. Patrick’s Day Tea Party- Menu And Food Ideas

It’s no secret that we love tea parties, and will throw one for nearly any occasion, so it’s no shocker that we like to have them for St. Patrick’s day! You can find all of our liturgical tea parties here, along with my tips for making tea parties extra fun for kids!

I love tea parties because they can be as simple or as complicated as you want, and you can do them with a very small group- even just your own kids. We always have ours as lunch.

I have a full round up of St. Patrick’s Day food ideas here that you can check out! Read on to see what we served at this St. Patrick’s day tea party.

Make some shamrocks!

(And when I say shamrocks, I mean shamrocks– not 4 leaf clovers. St. Patrick was teaching about the Holy Trinity, not good luck or leprechauns.) We had some shamrock jello jigglers, which were displayed with our St. Patrick ped doll.

We also had some shamrock pretzel treats, made with pretzels, a rolo, and a green M&M.

Think Green!

Green food is so fun for St. Patrick’s Day, and a simple way to be festive. We added some green food coloring to our milk as cream for our tea! Here are some ideas to get your tea party started:

  1. Lacy, this isn’t a tea party, this is a feast! 🙂 Such wonderful ideas – especially the miter and crosier. I bet you could even make the crosier out of pancake mix and (with a squeeze bottle) shape it in the pan. Wishing you and yours a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day this week!

  2. What a great party and ideas. Congratulations on a festive March 17th.
    HAPPY ST.PATRICK’S DAY

  4. Lacy,
Here’s a crazy question, but where did you find the shamrock table cloth? Cannot find one; thinking of having to sew one myself. TIA
    Ruth

  5. The link for the St. Patrick cookies (last item) seems to be broken. Could you fix please?
