Free Lenten Printable For Kids – A Deed Tracker

To encourage random extra good deeds and sacrifices for kids during Lent, I usually use a crown of thorns or a sacrifice beans. I absolutely love stuff like this! It’s hands on, kids love little things they can move, they love seeing progress, and overall I have found these methods to be very effective.

However, some parents don’t want toothpicks drifting around that could be stepped on or beans that may be eaten, choked on, or shoved up someone’s nose. Also, although I do offer a classroom friendly version of the crown of thorns for sacrifices, sometimes it’s not feasible to make them with an entire class.

So with the idea of making this concept of encouraging good deeds and extra sacrifices feasible for everyone, I present to you, the new Lenten Deed Tracker! 🙂

I’ve been making videos now, too, so be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel!

Also, it’s been awhile since I came out with a subscriber bonus, and I appreciate each and every one of my subscribers so much!!! So this is free for all of you! 🙂 Thank you for being loyal readers! You are the life blood of Catholic Icing! {{hugs!}}

See the directions for accessing your free subscriber bonuses here.

So this is kind of like a… printable sacrifice bean jar if you will 🙂

Post continues after this brief information about the Catholic Icing Monthly Membership

Monthly Liturgical Membership

Catholic Liturgical Monthly Membership

Perfect for families! Each month you gain access to printable activity pages, crafts, home altar pieces, and more.

Never has living the liturgical year been so easy and affordable!

The subscriber bonus download actually includes 8 versions of this page. Some have the key already on the bottom, and others are blank. That’s so you can draw in your own key. You may want to encourage different or specific things, or your kids may love to draw small intricate stuff, so they can design their own symbols. All of the pages are black and white.

Also, some pages have the Lent Song printed at the top of the page, and some have a Lenten quote that was Inspired by Look To Him And Be Radiant. (Btw, if you’ve never seen her blog, it’s excellent!)

“Pull up weeds, plant good seeds”

I think this is an excellent Lenten quote for kids! It’s a shortened version of the Fulton Sheen quote, “We can think of Lent as a time to eradicate evil or cultivate virtue, a time to pull up weeds or to plant good seeds. Which is better is clear, for the Christian ideal is always positive rather than negative.”

This printable would go great with my Lenten Resolutions Tracker!

The Lenten Deed Cross is marvelous but what’s the trick to download? I don’t find a link. Thank you

Are there any direction for the Lenten Deed tracker?
If so where do I find them?
    Thank you

    • I suppose if you watch the video it has better directions than the written post, but basically you just make yourself a key and whenever you say an extra prayer, make an extra sacrifice, etc you draw a little symbol for that thing in the jar or in the cross. It encourages you along your lenten path. God bless!
