Animal Cracker Dunkaroo Dip Recipe

Since St. Francis is the patron Saint of animals, we usually eat animal cracker on his feast day as an easy celebration idea. This year, I wanted to dress it up a bit and make a dunkaroo dip to go with them! You can find more resources for celebrating St. Francis’ feast day here. Now let’s take a look at this animal cracker dunkaroo dip recipe.

I have some free printable Saint food labels, and you can even print one to go right along with your animal crackers! Be sure to print yours. These little labels really make your table more festive, help your kids understand your feast day celebrations, and also make your pictures a lot cuter!

Because the feast of St. Francis falls in October, I like to keep the feast days centered around foods of the season. For this treat, I just kept the sprinkles in a sort of harvest color scheme to go along with this feast day.

Ingredients Needed For Animal Cracker Cake Dip:

  • 8 ounces of whipped topping (cool whip)
  • 15 ounce box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 pack (8 ounces) of cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • animal crackers
  • harvest colored sprinkles (to match the season of the year)

Take a large mixing bowl and add your whipped topping, cake mix, cream cheese, and milk. Mix this well.

When it’s all mixed, put it in a little bowl and put the sprinkles on top. So cute!

Perfect for families! Each month you gain access to printable activity pages, crafts, home altar pieces, and more.

Never has living the liturgical year been so easy and affordable!

If you have a nacho “chip and dip” type of bowl, that could be perfect for this! Otherwise, your dip can go in a small bowl and you can put the animal cookies on a plate around it like we did.

Serve them up to the kids! Dunk and enjoy! Just remember to tell the kids no double dipping! lol

As you eat it, you can add more sprinkles to the top. My kids are always bummed when something runs out of sprinkles. Why is it that sprinkles make everything so much more delicious?

You can also see here when we had an All Saints’ Day tea party and include St. Francis animal crackers! This is a classic.
