Many of you followed my pilgrimage to see Pope Francis on Instagram, but I wanted to share even more of my story with you! This trip was an experience of a lifetime- I’m going to let the photos do most of the talking here. 🙂

Waiting for Pope Francis!
Waiting into the night…
…and the crowd goes wild!!!
He turned backwards, smiled at us, and blessed us. Very amazing moment!
Cutest breakfast ever on the longest continuously inhabited street in the US.
Papal Mass time!
Line for security check was 5 blocks long!

Here he comes!
The money shot!
This Papal Mass was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
I couldn’t believe how reverently the Eucharist was administered to 10,000 people!!! Being completely surrounded by Jesus was one of my favorite moments of the trip!
Bye, Philly! Until next time. 🙂
Lacy how incredible! And the Pope Puppets!!!!???? Awesome! Did you know they were going to use your puppets? Beautiful pictures and what wonderful memories!!!
Yes, they had permission ahead of time to do this. And when I say ahead of time, they actually started cutting out the parts in June- no joke!
I see yours Pope Puppets in T.V.!!!!

Great post. Thanks for sharing! In looking at the Exhibit hall post, I am very interested in the products in the middle right picture. Do you remember who the vendor was or what those items would be called to look them up online? I’d love to get something like that for my classroom. Thanks for your help.
So amazing!! how blessed you are!!
Thank you so much for sharing these amazing pictures! I love everything about this trip! So happy for you. 🙂
Lacy,
Just to let you know I linked up to your post here on my brief Pope Francis post 🙂 Here’s the link: http://www.asliceofsmithlife.com/2015/09/pope-francis-visits-us-and-we-visit.html
you rock girl! Glad you posted here as I am not on instagram…
Hello! Would you be willing to email me the 3 photos you posted of Pope Francis while in the Popemobile before the Sunday Papal mass? The little boy in the teal polo is my son! I would be extremely grateful!!!
This comment just made me cry! When we were looking at the pictures, we were wishing we knew who’s baby that was so we could send them!!! I joked that maybe the mother would email me, but then I actually said a prayer that you actually would find me. I’ve had a rough afternoon finding out that a friend of ours from college was killed in the line of duty today, which hit extremely close to home given that my husband and father are both cops. This is nothing short of a miracle! Pictures on their way. 🙂
OK this just gave me chills reading Caroline’s comment and yours Lacy! How absolutely amazing is that! Caroline did you know Lacy was taking pictures there behind your son? If not, then what are the chances that you found pictures with your son in them! Miracle no matter what for sure!
I know! 🙂
Lacy, thank you for posting here. beautiful photos, what a memorable experience to cherish.
I saw your puppet on tv!!! Looks like you had such a blessed and amazing trip. Thanks for sharing it with us!
So very sorry for you loss. Prayers for all who love your friend.
Blessings,
Jen
Thank you! I was at your talk (front row!) and my kids came home with your Pope Puppets! My 12 year old said before we left that those were what he hoped to make while at the Youth Congress! How cool!!!
Thanks so much for this sharing.! Your puppets are awesome! I was fortunate enough to be part of this wonderful gathering as well and your photos have captured so many of the lovely things about it. Also, my prayers just going out to you and yours who suffered their sad loss. For me, this is one of the extra benefits of this WMOF. Having met so many positively involved people there I feel we are all a little closer to each other so we can feel the support of one another in our global family of humanity on our journey. God Bless!
Wonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing.
