These lists are meant to make shopping for VBS easier for you! You can print the list, then cross out what you don’t need and circle what you do before shopping. These lists do not include all the small things you probably have around your house already such as paper, scissors, crayons, toothpicks, thumb tacks, glue sticks, and pencils.

A lot of the things I have linked to here you can find cheaper at a local store, but the links will show you exactly what I’m referencing and help for specific things. If you’re buying in bulk for a large program definitely check Oriental Trading.

Sharpie “Tie Dye” Shirts:
- White cotton t-shirts
- Sharpie markers
- Rubbing alcohol
- Spray bottle
- Disposable cups
- Rubber bands
Day 1 Snack
Strawberry Shortcakes:
- Prepackaged shortcakes or make it from scratch- here’s a great shortcake recipe
- Canned whipped cream
- Mini marshmallows
- Fresh strawberries
- Yellow sugar– you can find my directions for coloring your own sugar here
- Flower sprinkles
- Chocolate sprinkles (jimmy style)
- Plastic cocktail swords (optional)

- A Tie Dye Kit with 3 desired colors.
- White cotton t-shirts
- Black fabric marker or sharpie marker (for the Sacred Heart Shirts)
- Fabric roses or rose stamp with white acrylic paint (for the Immaculate Heart )Shirt

Paper Bag Vests:
- Paper grocery bag
- Crayons
- Oil Pastels (optional- but this set looks great and I love Faber Castell)

Sacred Heart Puppets:
- Paper lunch sacs
- Assorted colored paper
- Helpful tip- manila folders work well if struggling to find a peach for the faces!
Day 2 Game
Sacred Heart Frisbee Toss:
- Frisbee
- Red pool noodles (2)
- Packing tape
- Orange fake flowers (check your local Dollar Tree)
- Wire cutters (For snipping the flowers. Pliars usually have built in wire cutters on them)
- String

Play Doh Cookies:
- Butter
- Cream Cheese (6 ounces)
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Almond Extract
- Flour
- Baking Powder

- Food Color (I highly recommend the gels)

- Crucifix (you can order them in bulk from Autom for just 0.19 each!)

Sacred Heart Peg Dolls:
- Wooden pegs (I do order these from Amazon as they’re the right size and a descent price)
- Mod Podge (The Dollar Tree does carry tiny bottles of Mod Podge, enough for this project)
- Acrylic craft paint (skin tone, brown, white, light blue- check Wal-Mart or your local craft store. You can get them for about $1 per bottle.)
- Paint brushes
