Even though this Catholic mom’s day retreat was quite a trip for me, I’m really glad I got to go! I live in the DC area, and the conference was held in Boston, but I have an aunt that lives up there, and I was able to travel with my grandma! So fun road trip with Nana + weekend visit with Aunt Deede + Catholic Mother’s Retreat = one fun and exciting weekend for me! 🙂

Great pictures; looks like it was a lot of fun! I wish I could have gone but I'm in Arizona and plane fare is expensive. 😛
I recently discovered your blog from "Among Women" and we have a lot in common. 🙂 I have 3 kids ages 6 and under, girl-boy-girl, and my youngest daughter is named Violet, too! (They look like they're fairly close in age as well — my Violet just turned 1 on March 5.)
Thanks for the recap and the great blog!
What a wonderful event to attend Lacy! I'd love. To meet some of my "blogland" friends in person, you included! Faith and Family has such a wonderful website too! Very welcoming and great at connecting us all together!
Oh, wow! I LOVE these pictures, Lacy! I was so bummed we didn't have a chance to visit at the event (there were so many people I didn't get to say hello to since my little one was so sick). Maybe next year? Hope to see you there! Take care, cutie!
What great pictures! I'm so bummed that we didn't get a chance to chat. I had specifically wanted to meet you ever since I heard you were going to be there, but the day was such a whirlwind I kept getting sidetracked every time I went to seek you out! When I got back to the hotel I said, "Oh, no! I never did find Lacy to say hi to her!"
Anyway, thanks for the kind words about my talk and the great writeup of the day. Glad you got home safe!
Ditto on what Jennifer said. I would have loved to meet you, and I so appreciated your honesty about being a not-so-good housekeeper. 🙂 Great post, and I enjoyed your photos, too.
Meeting you was one of the highlights for me, Lacy! You're support of Among Women has been amazing and I'm so grateful. I'm definitely gonna look you up when my son goes to school in the DC for the next 4 years.
So happy that you made the trip. Thanks for such a lovely post and sharing your experiences here.
You rate as the CHOCOLATE icing on my Moms Day Away!
I am so happy you had a good time, and what a benefit to attend that conference!! Blessings!
As an avid fan of everyone listed for a few years now, I really wish I had the money and means to go. Thank you for taking the time in your life to give us as your fan mommy blog readers a way to inspire and make new traditions in our home much more convenient. {internet hugs}
This looks like an amazing day! So glad you were able to go and make the trip and receive inspiration and affirmation for all you do for your family, friends, and Catholics around the world. I have met Suzanne, Danielle Bean's sister. A friend of mine is good friend's with Suzanne and I felt like I met a "Catholic celebrity" when I met Suzanne so you being able to meet Danielle and other women you admire must have been awesome! Thanks for sharing about this retreat since I have never heard of it before! 🙂
Praise God for giving you such a wonderful day of inspiration. You deserve it for all you give and share with so many! I pray it was just the holy fuel you needed to keep your lamp light burning:-)
How nice to have a chance to see my shop name in the program and see the display. 🙂 Thanks for that, Lacy! (I know you didn't do that for me, but I feel like it was just for me – so, thanks!)
thanks for sharing ! i enjoy impressionism, too ~ looks like a really nice museum 🙂
Sighting you was like sighting a celebrity for me! I spoke with you briefly as we waited for lunch; I thanked you for the great ideas & crafts, because not only do I share them with my kids, I have used several at my Little Flowers group as well. I meandered away to check on my friend Michelle & her baby (my godson) Martin. I never did get back to you, but I was one of the ones applauding you when you announced that you were a terrible housekeeper; so am I! It was great to share the day with you. Thanks again for all you share and do! Lee
Lacey it was so nice to meet. A friend of mine who also reads your blog told me she spotted a picture of me on your blog fun. It was only been a week and I have finally had a chance go blog on the day and send you a comment. http://niallfamily.blogspot.com/2011/04/in-real-life.html I had a really fun chat with you and enjoyed doing many of your crafts on our family retreat this past weekend. 🙂
