Little Flower Cookies For St. Therese

So St. Thereses’ feast day is October 1, HOWEVER… her canonization day is May 17. We love celebrating St. Therese in our home, and you can find all of my St. Therese resources for kids here. Today we are going to look at these little flower cookies for St. Therese. 

Personally, we already have a lot of Liturgical celebrations that are important to us during October such as the feast of the guardian angels, archangels, St. Francis, St. Faustina, Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Pope JPII,  and the approachement of All Saints’ Day. So St. Therese falls at a busy time of year.

My thought was, since there’s so much cute flower stuff at Spring time, and her nickname is the “Little Flower”… why not celebrate her canonization day? That would also help to continue to celebrating during the Easter season with Catholic kids! These little flower cookies are festive and EASY which in my opinion, makes them perfect. 🙂

Supplies Needed:

• flower shaped butter cookies
• old fashioned gumdrops

There is a perfect Science to putting these together- you have to push the cookie onto the gumdrop enough to get the flower cookie to stick on, but not hard enough that the cookie cracks and breaks. Kids actually love to do this.

It takes your flower shaped cookies from ordinary, to a colorful garden! 🙂
