Catholic Icing Updates and Email Subscription Changes

I know it’s been a while since there have been new posts here on Catholic Icing, and so many of you have been sweet enough to check in to make sure that Lacy is okay.  She’s doing well and has been spending time focusing on her family and projects.

Some of you may know me, and some of you may not.  I’m Angie Kauffman and in addition to having my own site, Real Life at Home (which includes Catholic printables, as well as other content focusing on practical living, real life learning, and authentic motherhood), I’m also the project manager here at Catholic Icing.  That means that I do a lot of behind the scene things on the site, and have spoken with many of you via email when questions about the site or downloads have popped up.

One of those pesky issues that has popped up from time to time have to do with the emails that so many of you receive each time a new post is published.  When people need to change their email addresses or make any other kind of change, I haven’t been able to help because of the free service that was used for delivering those.  In addition to that, many of you have had no problems receiving emails, and then suddenly one day, you stop receiving them forever.  Believe it or not – even Lacy got dropped from the list!

The great news is that I have worked on moving all of the current email subscribers to a new email service.  This will allow us more control over those kinds of issues, and I’m really excited about that, since I hate having to tell people that I can’t help them with those issues.

If you are already receiving Catholic Icing emails when new posts are published, you should continue to receive them, since I moved everyone’s information into the new system.  If you were successfully moved, what should happen is that you will receive two separate emails containing this post within the next 24 hours or so.  One will have the same look you’ve become familiar with, and the other will have a newer look.  If you get them both, then you’re good to go!

If you only receive the older email and not the newer looking one (it should say near the bottom that it is “Powered by Mad Mimi”), then you will need to resubscribe with the new service and I apologize that your contact information didn’t move like it should have.  The new emails will also have a header that looks like this at the top:

Catholic Icing Email Subscriptions

This post should be the only time you get two of the same emails.  Once it appears that it all worked, I’ll turn off the old service and you’ll only receive emails from Catholic Icing through Mad Mimi’s service after that.  Sorry to fill your inbox twice with this one, but we want to be sure it’s all in working order before we turn off the old service.

If you are not currently a subscriber, you should definitely consider subscribing.  Not only can you read all of the great content from Catholic Icing right in your email inbox, but you’ll also get access to exclusive subscriber freebies.

Post continues after this brief information about the Catholic Icing Monthly Membership

You can subscribe by clicking here or by putting your email address here:

You can also find a box to subscribe at the top of the sidebar on the right hand side of this page!

After you do that, you’ll receive an email and you’ll need to click through the link to confirm that you really want to sign up.  If you don’t do that confirmation, you will not receive any further emails from Catholic Icing.  So, it’s very important!

Oh, and there’s one more exciting thing that I know you’ve all been looking forward to!  Lacy will be back next week with a new post.  So, make sure you have your subscription filled out so you can be ready to read it when it arrives in your inbox.

Thank you so much for your time!

  1. Thanks for the link to “Real Life at Home.” There’s a lot there to learn. Most of all, I’m glad that I’m not the only mother who faces the challenges of raising a family and maintaining a home by simply facing them head on… and with plenty of love. Motherhood is a vocation. Your website expresses encouragement in many ways. I’ll have to check there often.

  2. checking in again to see if there are any new posts. definitely missing them! hope summer is treating you all well! JMJ
