Jesus Loves Me- Bible Craft for Kids

In continuing with my children's crafts for Christian songs, today's craft goes with the song "Jesus Loves Me"! This is such a classic religious song for kids! I wanted a "Jesus Loves Me" craft that really focused on the "me" part of that. I thought a picture frame with the child's picture was perfect! This frame is made from an old CD case, and was super easy to put together! Even if you … [Read more...]

10 Tips for Leading Children in Song- {Use Music for Religious Education!}

Whether you're at home, at acation bible school, in the classroom, or in church, music can really enhance worship for kids! "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!" Psalm 100: 1 See? We're only asked to make a joyful noise to the Lord, not a perfect one. ;-) Last year, I was signing up to help teach vacation bible school. Glittery Jesus Fish Craft- Make a Mobile!

This week we made a Jesus fish craft using only cardboard tubes, glue, and glitter. The kids had so much fun with this one! This was such a simple process. Take a cardboard tube (such as a toilet paper roll or a paper towel tube) and flatten it. Then cut it into strips. You'll end up with football shaped rings. Cut the ring apart at one fold, cut 2 slits, and fit together in the shape of  … [Read more...]

Catholic Vacation Bible School Ideas

Earlier in the year, I reviewed several Catholic Vacation Bible School packages (and I mean real Catholic packages, meaning they were developed by actual Catholics). Our parish, however, wrote their own program this year, and it was fabulous! They have used packaged kits in the past, but ultimately ended up tweaking them so much they thought they may as well go ahead and start from … [Read more...]

How to Make “Jesus Loves Me” Shirts With Kids

Back in the Spring, I made these "Jesus {hearts} me" shirts with my whole preschool class, and they were a huge hit! The kids were so proud of them because they actually painted every part of the shirt even though they were only 2 or 3 years old. These shirts would be great to make at Sunday School, or even as a Vacation Bible School Shirt! Also, today is First Friday, so that means I'm hosting … [Read more...]

Celebrate Trinity Sunday with “Trinity Sundaes”

Ya, I'm pretty much obsessed with the idea of Liturgical Sundaes because they're so easy! This coming Sunday is Trinity Sunday (the Sunday following Pentecost), so without further adieu, I give you the Trinity Sundae: Neapolitan ice cream was no-brainer: 3 flavors, one ice cream. The trinity: 3 persons, one God. I also set out shamrock doilies left from St. Patrick's day because the … [Read more...]

I was first introduced to the … [Read more...]
