St. Rose of Lima- Don’t Let Her Feast Day Pass You By!

The feast of St. Rose of Lima is coming up on August 23. She is the patroness of Latin America, the Philippines, needleworkers, and against vanity. She herself was very beautiful, and she would rub pepper on her face to ruin her own complexion. She is usually depicted with a rose crown on her head. Here are some ways you and the kids can remember her on her feast day!

St. Rose of Lima is included in my ABC Saint craft pack, so be sure to check that out! These are so fun and easy for kids, and a great alternative to peg dolls that will save you tons of time and money.

No, Vee, thank YOU for sharing the doll 🙂

  3. Lacy, just back from several days away. re your question, I've ordered twice from Catholoic Artworks. the first time took 10 weeks. the second time took 8 weeks. The first time, they answered my emails and actually called me. the second time they did not respond at all. I love their stuff, and plan to order the faith combo CD and the number 7 CD, but wonder how long it'll take to get here.

  4. Lacy @ Catholic Icing says

  6. Hi Lacy! Thanks for sharing the St. Rose activities! Our 4th child's middle name is Rose so I hope to share these things with my "cupcakes" on St. Rose's Feast day 🙂 Have you heard of the Travel Rosary yet that a man invented? I just heard about it on Catholic radio in my area. I thought you would like to find out more information about it. Here is the website if you want to check it out: http://www.travelrosary.com

  8. My Confirmation Saint! I love her so much and am due any day! It would be cool to have the baby on either of her Feast Days (N.O. Aug. 23, or Trad. Aug. 30!) Thanks for the post! There is also a Glory Story of St. Rose of Lima on CD! My kids love to hear it!

  9. We made a crown of roses in honor of the crown of thorns she is known to have worn. My daughter Rose really felt special.

  10. Hi. Tried to download the printable for the paper doll, but, couldn’t. And, today is her feast day.. By the way, thank you for all that you have done with your site, I use your site all the time, and it has been amazing. Life would be way less colorful without you. 🙂

    • Hi Paula –

The paper doll is on somebody else’s site. So, I would recommend visiting that link again and maybe commenting there for help or look for a contact form or email address. Sorry to not be able to help, but we’re only good at troubleshooting here.
