St. Nicholas Crafts for Kids- Printables, Ideas, and More!

Check out my post on how to celebrate St. Nicholas day here.

St. Nicholas Day is coming up on December 6! These crafts can be a fun way to celebrate the day. St. Nicholas can even leave the supplies for the crafts right in your shoes. 😉

This printable St. Nicholas ornament is available in my Advent Saint pack.

I now have a printable Advent Saint peg doll set that includes St. Nicholas! You just follow the step by step directions to paint his head, and then his hat and body decoupage on the peg. So easy, and this one can be painted in any skin tone you desire.

Make a St. Nicholas paper bag puppet- find the templates in my Saint Puppet ebook.

You can have each child write a letter to the Christ Child to leave in their shoes when you set them out. Write what sacrifices and good deeds you are going to do during Advent to prepare for His coming, and how much you are anticipating His arrival!  Leave the letter (called a “Christkindl Brief”) in your shoe, along with a carrot for St. Nicholas’ horse.  In the morning, the letter and carrot are gone, and treats are in their place!  😉

This is a printable template for a letter to the Christ Child available in The Advent Christmas Planner.

  1. I made the St. Nicholas paper bag puppet just out of construction paper and no paper bag with my 2nd graders this week. We glued St. Nick onto a green sheet of paper and it looked great! It was simple and fun. The students loved it. Thanks for the idea.
