Our Lady of Fatima For Kids (Crafts, Printables, Recipes, And More!)

The feast day of Our Lady Of Fatima lands each year on May 13, and this is a super fun feast day to celebrate when living the liturgical year at home with your Catholic kids! (The anniversary of the miracle of the spinning sun is on October 13, so that is a great day for these activities as well!) This is such a really fun story and miracle to celebrate with kids, and there are lots of ways to celebrate, so let’s check out these ideas for celebrating Our Lady Of Fatima With Kids.

The thing that makes the story of Fatima so amazing is that it was witnessed by so many people and even reported in secular newspapers! This is such a really great witness for kids to see a modern miracle with tangible proof. Such a powerful story! Plus, the imagery of the spinning sun lends itself to all kinds of really fun crafts and food ideas.

I actually designed a pop-up paper craft that’s printable to celebrate this day! You can download yours here. These are easy to assemble, and store flat, so you can keep them for years to come! Prints in both color and in black and white.

Miracle Of The Sun Crafts For Kids

The miracle of the sun was witnessed by around 35,000 people! The sun was described as having an “exceedingly swift and whirling movement”, and as “the most magnificent fire wheel that could be imagined, taking on all the colors of the rainbow and sending forth multicolored flashes of light, producing the most astounding effect” to quote a few. Now let’s check out these fun and colorful sun crafts kids can make to go with this amazing miracle!
