Make Stations of the Cross Grottos

I really enjoyed our Lent Link-up! Thanks to everyone who came and participated. I was really inspired by a lot of your ideas :-) What do you guys think about having another one for Easter? If we have an Easter link-up, should it be the week before Easter? Let me know in the comments 😉

Wouldn’t you like to have your own stations of the cross at home? Well, you can and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg! Check out how these families made crafted stations of the cross grottos!

I LOVE this version from Inside My Domestic Church!
(I’m such a sucker for glitter! Lol!)
Pondered in My Heart made the beautiful pebble
version. She gives excellent step by step instructions
of assembling the grottos from popsicle sticks.
Under Her Starry Mantel made this versoin
with tiles. This is a great post as well!
And these aren’t really grottos, but Paper Dali
made this portable set of stations to stick in the ground!

Hope you’re all feeling inspired! I know I am. Don’t forget to check out all my other Stations of the Cross posts! Lots more stations of the cross posts coming this week, too! :-)

  1. Those are wonderful! I'm bookmarking these for the weekend.

Boy those are some fancy Stations of the Cross!
My kiddos are still working on water painting the sheets I printed from your blog~

I do plan to save the ones they color this year for next year so maybe they can add to or embellish them next year!

    Peace and Blessings,

  3. Wow – Thank you for posting my Stations of the Cross – I am honored.
The other ideas are beautiful also!

  4. I think we also may be making those grottos this weekend! We've actually never made any and the boys will love to put them in thier bedrooms.

I LOVE this blog!!! My little one is still to young to do any of these projects (under a year!), but I bookmarked this page and am furiously writing down these great ideas into my liturgical binder for future use. Thank you so much for all your hard work in putting all this together. I especially loved the lent link up, so many ideas all in one place – that's brilliant!

An Easter link up would be fun! :)

I think I better get busy and make something for Stations of the Cross before Lent is over. We go every Friday night at our church for Stations of the Cross and that's when I remember that I need to make some for home. :)

  7. Hey, Lacy!
Thanks for posting those and sharing Paper Dali's portable stations. The variety is wonderful.

I'd be interested in doing an Easter link-up, but I think a week before might interrupt the focus of Holy Week, know what I mean? Just my two cents … So when to do it, right? Easter is a whole season and so maybe post stuff on the Monday after? Or … ?

The timing is tricky … And my poor son's birthday is right smack on Maundy Thursday, too. Oy.
