How to Draw Grapes and Wheat for Catholic Kids

As promised earlier this week, today I am sharing a how-to-draw-grapes-and-wheat-download with all of you!

I love the combination when how-to-draws meet handwriting practice, so I decided to make some printable Catholic packs where your kids can learn to draw Catholic things, practice their penmanship, and learn some facts along the way. 🙂

Teach Catholic Kids Penmanship and How to Draw small

In this download, you get a page that teaches children how to draw grapes and wheat, how to color grapes and wheat with colored pencils (HIGHLY recommend using Prismacolor brand colored pencils with children of all ages), and several pages you can print for them to draw and write on so you can select something on your child’s level.

I have a page demonstrating print, and another with cursive, as well as a page with dotted letters for younger children so they can just trace. Blank handwriting paper is also available in the pack.

I am hoping to make more of these as the year goes on to go with our First Communion Prep.

This is free to download for all of my subscribers! To download this How to Draw Grapes and Wheat Pack, read here about how to access the Subscriber Bonus page. Once you sign up, you’ll have access to all of my free Catholic printables for kids! 🙂

Lydia (my 7 year old) is eating up my “how-to-draw” stuff right now. We go out almost every evening and I teach my kids how to draw stuff in sidewalk chalk. I am really enjoying my children getting older! Here is Lydia’s drawing of the grapes and wheat.

I also have some how to draw videos for kids with grapes, wheat, and a chalice that are totally free to watch! You can find each of the videos here:

I recommend this for ages 5-10. The “how to color” pages show step-by-step techniques to even do a little shading with the colored pencils. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice Lydia’s turned out! She was very excited to shade her grapes, and extremely pleased with her drawing.

Let me know what you guys think about this- I always love feedback! Also, if people are interested in these I just might keep making them!

I have followed the directions to the best of my knowledge and I still cannot access the Bonus Page. I am using google. When I go tot he google page and click on the “How to make grapes” it just takes me back to the page that says go to bonus page. Where is it?

I am an email subscriber, and I cannot access the bonuses/printables. I am excited to use these, as my daughter will be receiving her First Communion this year also. Thank you for all your ideas!

  4. This is great for my daughters! Thanks so much, I just printed it 🙂

  6. Thanks for sharing these! We will definitely use it! dd asked if you do a sheep one and a star one. Told her you weren’t taking requests but I would ask :- )

  7. This seems like a great idea, but it’s also almost EXACTLY like the Draw Right Now series. I’d hope you’d give credit where credit is due.

    • Yes, I have been very inspired by the Draw Write Now series. My kids have been loving them, and I thought doing some Catholic themed versions would be fun! 🙂 Love the combination of handwriting practice and how-to-draws.

  8. Lately, I have been receiving double emails on the same topic. Can you help me with this situation? Thank you!

  9. Hi Lacy, I’ve gotten several ideas from you and have purchased some crafts as well, for example the Learn Your Prayers, Bible tabs and Jesse Tree symbols. I would pay for a Catholic draw write now saints pack! Next up maybe a sacrament pack? Keep up the inspiration!

    • Thank you so much for your support of Catholic Icing! I really means a lot to me, especially when people come back and get more products! Thank you for the suggestions! Yes, it did occur to me to do a pack of how to draw Saints, but honestly, the how to draw Jesse Tree videos didn’t sell well so I’m not sure if I can justify the time needed to make the videos or not. We will see. I am always busy working on something lol. God bless!
