Catholic Baptism Video

As most of you know, I have a 3 week old baby who was baptized yesterday! I thought I would share this video we made of my other daughter’s baptism. (She is now 4). My mom and I used to make wedding videos together, so sometimes we get a little carried away with our home movies. 🙂

If you like the “Tiny Hands, Precious Feet” song that we used, you can order the album from Catholic Child. These are beautiful lullabies for Catholic babies!

This baptism was a really big deal to our parish because we were college students at the time and were very involved in our on campus church. As you can imagine, it was not a parish that saw many babies or baptisms. 🙂

  1. So beautiful! Thank you for sharing:) I pray your 2nd daughter's baptismal day was a glorious Pentecost!

  2. Hi Lacy,

I love your blog! I homeschool my 5 kids and I'm a director of religious ed at my parish. I use the crafts and foods you feature very often.

I have a question. You used to make wedding videos? I am compiling my parish's photo albums onto a DVD slideshow, and we'll make 100+ copies and sell them for a fundraiser.

I need nice Catholic music for the background as these pics are showing. I have concerns about copyright issues. I don't want the parish to get in trouble for using copyrighted music without permission.

Do you have suggestions? I need music this week.

    Thanks,
    Cindy Carroll

  3. That was beautiful! I love how your Priest explained things. I also adore the gown. My son wasn't allowed to put on his gown/suit until *after* the baptism, and I didn't like that one bit. Oh well… thank you so much for sharing that amazing day with all of us

  7. This video is really emotional to me

  8. I had been searching for a wonderful Catholic Baptism video to show my class. Thank Google (and God) that I stumbled upon your video! The children could not stop “ooh”ing and “aww”ing at your precious little one. Thank you very much for sharing such a personal video! It was the perfect “Catholic Icing” on OUR cake 🙂

  9. we baptized our 6 year old daughter over christmas as an infant thru the infant baptism program at our parish.we felt it would be more meaning ful for her to enter gods kingdom as an infant. We dressed her as an infant in the traditional white gown with a matching bonnet, lace socks and white shoes.for her diaper,we did a cloth diaper with toddler rubberpants over it and her under shirt, she looked very cute and infant like in the outfit.
